Yeah, some things are not obvious, such as the x buttons on the far right to me make me think of closing tabs not menus. That's why I ended up with these menus missing, and it's not the first time.

I really wish I could get these menus back to explore cCdetch. The first time it happened I emailed one of the coders but never received a response. I know this is probably done on free time so I wouldn't expect responses to every email so this is why I posted here, where there is supposed to be coder user interaction.

If there is no response I can only assume that there is no way of getting these menus back therefore this would be a bug. I guess I could list it as one with the appropriate bug tracker software.

Just wanted to say - love Codetch, just installed it, there was just one issue - wanted to have a split view (Firefox 2, Win XP) but unfortunately it said nowhere "split view" --- turns out, by right-clicking "Code" and "Design" tabs, they will be pressed simultaneously and THEN you get a split screen !! :) Wish this was a bit more obvious, but otherwise... LOVE IT :) :) :)

Is it just me/mycomputer or is the layout of Codetch awful? I see:
the normal title bar
the normal menu bar
A grey bar "Insert" plus a down arrow
3 tabs common, text, paragraph
When I started a huge toolbar, that turned into a toolbar that is too small to see the icons, after clicking the roll up arrow on the insert bar.
Then another toolbar, also extremely huge, that can be turned off under the view menu. But that same menu holds a third huge toolbar called.
I'm currently no longer able to restore the insert toolbat to its initial huge size but when it still was huge, less than half the window was available for editing...in full screen mode. Initially it opened in abouit half screen window, leaving NO editing space whatsoever. It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of these toolbars. I would have prefered to use this time learning how to edit pages with codetch. I still believe that it's potentially powerful, but not good looking and I find the learning curve steeper than I expected.

This is really a great stuff for quick editor!

Thanks,

Maybe this is a stupid question but for the life of me I can't figure out how to re-implement a menu that is default on ff2 on Tiger macTel.

I deactivated by pressing on the "x" but setting user set related preferences in about:config, uninstalling/reinstalling the extesion, removing the codetch folder in /Profiles/.../, and preference file within the extensions folder without getting back that set of menu options.

I've looked into the remaining menu settings, including the Preferences selection, if this is not obvious.

Chascon

PS-I refer to a menu that is similar to the results one that is on the bottom.

Hi,

Impressive stuff, would really like to see this develop into a full featured editor that competes with / supercedes Dreamweaver.. I've been using Dreamweaver since v1, but I'm a big supporter of open-source projects and think that codetch could be an amazing tool for startup developers and advanced developers who can contribute to your efforts to add new features.

Keep up the good work, it's a very exciting project.

P.S. Bring on the syntax highlighting!! :)

Hey,

I'm new to WYSIWYG HTML editors. I assumed a benefit of the reference panel was that you could copy + paste from it to the code view and get the underlying code. If Codetch already does it great--but it's not working for me!

Thanks, emailkay
